The Drupal script
Drupal is an open source, PHP-based content management system. Drupal offers the creation of websites with a broad range of features such as multi-user administration, community interactivity and news aggregation. Drupal is one of the most powerful Content Management Systems on the web today. In terms of scalability, features, security and templating, it is probably the best CMS of all. Its flexibility allows you to create almost any type of site you would want: from a simple blog to a forum or an e-commerce site.

What could the Drupal script be used for?
As we have mentioned previously, Drupal is a CMS that could be used for the creation of a wide range of multi-feature sites such as community web portals, discussion sites, corporate websites, intranet applications, personal websites or blogs, e-commerce applications, resource directories, social networking sites or a stylish compilation of all these.

Why should you use the Drupal script?
The end-user interface is simple and straightforward. Some of the pre-packaged design templates are very nice and easy to manage. From a web developer's point of view, the modular code structure offers easy customization. A Drupal website can be powerful, unique and attractive. Some useful functions of the Drupal script
Perhaps one of the best features of the Drupal content management system is the ability to customize the look and feel of your website. There are various website design templates available at the Drupal website at http://drupal.org/project/Themes. You may be pleased with one of these pre-developed packages. Instead, a web designer can create for you a great-looking custom design template using this template system.

The Drupal script also comes with many built-in applications and modules that you can use as a foundation for almost any kind of site. Whether you want to build a community site, a blog or just a presentation site of your own, there are optional modules to help you build your site. Here is a list of the most popular features:

• Blog - will make posts behave as on any other blog, they will be sorted chronologically; also, posts from sub-categories can be seen in their respective parent categories.
• Page - creates normal pages, just as you would expect on any normal site.
• Book - helps you arrange pages in a group (or book, if you prefer). It’s especially useful when you have a piece of content that seems too big to be on only one page; you can give the book a home page and sort the others any way you want.
• Forum - create forums. This module may not have as many features as the full-fledged scripts out there but it’s good enough for most webmasters.
• Polls - capture votes on different topics in the form of multiple choice questions.
• Aggregator - it helps to keep your site fresh by aggregating content from other sites by using their RSS feeds.
• Throttle - this module, together with the cache option, proves that Drupal has been coded with serious sites in mind. When your site is under a heavy load (you can specify what “heavy” means) the throttler will disable other modules and improve the performance.

How to install the Drupal script easily in three steps?
In order to install the Drupal script for your site hosted in your account with us, you can use the Elefante script installer tool. You can find it in the Web Tools section of your accunt's Control Panel:

Once you access the menu you will see a list of all the available scripts in the Elefante Installer. The Drupal script could be found under the Content Management part of the list in the first place:

A single click on the Drupal script name will start the installation process. An extended script information window will open. In order to continue the installation, follow the „Install Drupal“ link:

The next step of the installation wizard is the script settings configuration page. First of all, you will have to choose a database if you have created one already. If not, you can create it now via the „Create a new database“ link or via the MySQL Databases menu in the Site Management section of your account's Control Panel. The plans that are allowed to create only one database will be automatically chosen for you.

The first field is „Database prefix“ – you will be able to specify the database table's prefix according to your preferences or to leave the default one. Please note that you will have to set a different database prefix in case you wish to install the script for a second time, so that the tables of the two installations will not mess up. The second field is the „Domains“ field organized as a dropdown menu where you will be able to choose one of your available hosted domain or subdomain names. The third field is the „Path“ field. This is the field where you specify in which domain or subdomain name folder the script files will be placed. If you choose to leave the default folder, the script will be installed in a subfolder in your domain name folder. In case you wish the script to be available on your domain name, e.g. : yourdomain.com , you will need to leave only the „/“ (slash) symbol in the field.

The next four fields are your administrator user details that you wish to set in order to be able to manage the script. The last field „Site Name“ will be set for your newly created site. Once you are ready with the configuration you will have to follow the „Install“ button on the bottom of the window and to allow some time for the script to be installed:

After a few seconds the script will be installed and you will see a similar page where all the installed applications will be listed for you. The new site URL will be available as well as the Admin URL where you will be able to check the administration details that you have previously set and to log in to the script administration section:

By clicking on the Admin URL you will see a window with the script administration information needed for script management purposes:
